What are French doors?

French doors are a pair of doors that have at least one hinged panel and one fixed or hinged panel.

The doors can be installed to swing inwards or outwards.

The hinged doors meet in the middle and can therefore both be opened at the same time to create a large entryway.

What are the benefits?
